Statements of image decoding problem caused by the upgrade of the satellite signals

Recently, due to the upgrade of satellite signals in Portugal and France, some old products appears the problem of some channels cannot be properly decoded, which is mainly displayed by the lost picture and only heard the voice. We deeply regret this event of image decoding problem caused by the upgrade of the satellite signals. At the same time, there is some misunderstanding and distortion that the event is planned by SOLOVOX and the purpose is to make money from it. In response, we would like to emphasize a few points here.

First, as we mentioned above, the image decoding failure this time is caused by the upgrade of satellite signals. SOLOVOX has no ability to let satellite television providers upgrade signals to cooperate with us for making the event. Therefore, SOLOVOX customers should understand the relevant reasons in a comprehensive and objective manner instead of making a wrong interpretation that is out of context.

Second, the SOLOVOX technical team immediately communicated with the solution provider after receiving customer feedback. And confirm that the following series of products cannot solve the image decoding problem through software upgrade due to the outdated CPU version. These products including F series (F3, F3S, F4, F4S, F5, F5S), A series (A3, A4), and S series (S10, S11, S12). It is recommended that the affected customers replace with newer products such as V6S and V9S.

Third, some products of S V6, S V8 and V8S provided by SKYBOX have this problem, which is found in products produced before May 2016. Since there is a lot of piracy and clone in the market, and all the pirates began to copy the SKYBOX software before 2016, all piracy have thus this problem.

Fourth, through communication, we asked the solution provider to solve the problem of S V6, S V8, V8S and later. The solution provider found the method to solve the problem after a struggle. And because the method can be also applied to pirated products, it is required to carry out the Genuine License. On this, the solution provider has to charge a $3 license fee for each legitimate product.

Fifth, in order to strive to make customers may reduce the economic losses, we began collecting some customers who needed authorization and provide the license at the original $3 price. However, this caused some customers to misunderstand us and thought that SOLOVOX intentionally created this event to sell the license. When in fact, we were done for the best. So for the reputation of SOLOVOX to upkeep, we decided to stop providing the license to any customer. More specifically, if the product is not purchased from SOLOVOX, we cannot distinguish it, because it is not easy to distinguish pirated and non-pirated products. You should know that SOLOVOX is not obligated to provide the service to all pirated products. Of course, if your product is purchased from SOLOVOX, please feel free to contact us to handle.

Sixth, we can make sure that all the V6, V6S, V8S Plus, V9S sold from the official SOLOVOX store do not have this image decoding problem. And also, if the products are sold from the official SOLOVOX store, we strictly follow the warranty service. If there is any problem, it will be handled according to the guarantee.

    hi, hi have one solovox V6 and five v8s show this error, i updated for last firmware and now show “no auth”

      We have mentioned above, we have stopped providing the auth because some users misunderstand us and thought that SOLOVOX intentionally created this to sell the license for making money.

      So please contact your seller to process your things. Now that your seller sold the goods to you, they should provide the relevant guarantees.

    Hello,
    I have a Solovox F6S Mini and I’m getting the image codec problem.
    Since you don’t mention this specific model in the article above I’m wondering if there is any possibility to solve the problem by updating software/firmware or like in the other mentioned models, this one can’t be fixed because of outdated CPU.

      F6S MINI can be licensed, but it can only be updated by using RS232. I suggest you contact your seller to ask for help.

      V6S is a newer model, there should be no clone or pirate in the market. On this, SOLOVOX V6S has not the problem about the authorization.
